Parking in St Ives

We recommend using Park & Ride during the summer due to how busy St Ives gets.

Trenwith Car Park overlooking the town provides all day parking and there is a bus service into town.

Park & Ride

St Ives Rugby Club offers a park and ride service into St Ives.

Or for the best way to arrive in St Ives you can use the train from the St Erth Station Park & Ride.

NB. Please allow plenty of time to get to St Ives and Park particularly during the summer months when it can be very busy.

So pleased to have just been selected to be a ambassador by one of Americas best and well known Big Game tackle companies and to be part of their professional Aftco Pro program team which involves a big part of fishing conservation and promoting the sport in a positive manor.

It really is so positive to see that all the hard work and dedication to the sport is being seen and recognised all the way across the pond in the USA and we are really looking forward to now working with Aftco in promoting their quality products and their commitment to conservation.

What does this mean to you our anglers.

Well of course this comes with benefits of full access to their best and new ranges of big game equipment which will then be added to our Shimano gear which also this year is all being upgraded to the latest models of SW rods and reels including the new 2026 Stella 25000s and the new Talica 50s.

If your booked on a Bluefin Tuna trip
this year then your in for a real treat as our gear really is now the best available on the market and will make your experience in big game fishing so much more enjoyable.

Massive thanks to Dave Lewis for all the help and support as always 👌

Another busy week and Yellowfin is now looking fresh and as good has she’s ever been both now inside and out.

Some nice stainless bits being fabricated and to be fitted for that extra finished detail.

Bluefin stripped back and prepared for something special which will see her going from looking tiered to like new again which unfortunately does include the mammoth task of taking the anti foul right off and back to gel ready to be copper coated.

Week of back breaking graft coming up but it will all be worth it.

Lots of talk about the recent announcement of the 3 catch limit coming in this June for the Pollock and many of us didn’t see it coming including ourselves.

We have been in the past few seasons encouraging anglers to just take for the plate and not to try and fill up the whole streets freezers which was once common practice.

It is going to be difficult and some anglers will not like it but unfortunately we all have to contribute to looking after our fish stocks even though it’s very evident recreational angling is not at fault here.

Unfortunately it’s the world we live in and we have to make the best of it.

We will continue to do what we have been doing in the past 2-3 seasons by fishing the inshore shallow reefs where we can release what fish we need to and will continue with the great mixed species we have available to us.

I think it’s fair to say that fishing has evolved from the days of massive hauls out on the wrecks and we now enjoy the sport of fishing and appreciating a day out on the water with good banter and good company whilst releasing what fish we can to make for a better future.

We certainly will not let this dampen our trips and we hope you all understand that the days of black bags of fillets are over for the foreseeable future.

On the up side we can now keep 3 BASS 👌😁
