We recommend using Park & Ride during the summer due to how busy St Ives gets.

Trenwith Car Park overlooking the town provides all day parking and there is a bus service into town.

Park & Ride

St Ives Rugby Club offers a park and ride service into St Ives.

Or for the best way to arrive in St Ives you can use the train from the St Erth Station Park & Ride.

NB. Please allow plenty of time to get to St Ives and Park particularly during the summer months when it can be very busy.

🔥🔥🔥 IS THIS A UK FIRST 🔥🔥🔥

Something truly special happened this morning and undoubtedly our best catch ever.

Whilst marking what we initially thought was a TUNA we quickly decided to drop down a soft plastic lure on the spinning gear and within seconds BANG fish on but after the first few minutes when things settled down something didn’t feel right and doubts crept in as to what we have hooked.

I had instantly then thought this could only be one other fish but didn’t want to gets hopes up prematurely and waited patiently until we got the first sight and with that up she popped.

A Massive 500lb Plus 13ft THRESHER SHARK and one of the biggest I have ever seen.

So with that came the realisation and the reality of not landing this fish as we was on mono line of course and a small soft plastic lure.

Experience I have gained over the years was now going to play a massive part in landing this fish and a combo of patience and Neal’s Skill on the helm would be the difference in landing or not landing it.

One very important part of course is we was blessed to have a great angler on the rod with a wealth of experience and that was Steve Fletcher and what an amazing job he did with pressure at the right time and patience when needed and to his wing man Mark Bennett’s for assisting when needed.

Anyway after just under the hour we finally had the fish boat side and as you would guess the relief and celebration went hand in hand.

Massive thanks to Tuna Gear for as always providing top quality lures and wow the power of the shimano Stella’s are just next level.

Congratulations guys on a day you surly will never forget.

🔥🔥🔥🔥 The lads were on Fire today all getting themselves some good size Bluefins on the spinning gear and soft plastics

We will take 3 from 5 hook ups and is a great result.

Well done professional angler Alan Webb and his guests Shaun & Andy.

A truly amazing days fishing and top angling on the rods.👌

Day one of three and we hit the ground running with fish very quick to the boat on the bars and then one of the crew was desperate to get one on the spinning gear so we gave it a go and it only took one cast and fish on 🔥🐟 a cracking fish of around 180lb - 200lb and boat side in 30mins 💪.

Great technique is needed and was delivered in style so well done Adam 🙌
