I would like to take this opportunity to thank and fully recommend sam and his crew, they went beyond everything you could expect !! The six of us were all new to tuna fishing, they explained everything in easy to understand terms, after catching some bait then off to find the tuna he and his crew never stop moving trying to find them, and so we did,it was a pleasure to find a boat that couldn't do enough us !! If we could give blue fin charters 6 star we would,we all said we would return for another trip next year, we all don't think you could go wrong with their fishing trips !!Posted on Google![]()

Tuna Fishing aboard Bluefin out of Falmouth. What an experience. First rate Skipper Sam worked tirelessly to put us on the fish and ensure we all caught. A brilliant tactical decision on day 2 ensured this was the case. Only someone as experienced and knowledgeable as Sam could have done this. Spotless, comfortable boat, high quality equipment and a calm and sage captain made this a trip none of us will forget. We felt safe at all times, even in some lumpy seas and all caught fish of a lifetime. Until now that is, we will be back!Posted on Google![]()

Fantastic. Fun. Worth every penny!! Danielle was so helpful and friendly during check in for our trip and briefing us on safety and demonstrating the use of provided life jackets. The boatmen James and Adam were great and really did give us the thrill we were hoping for from the 600hp engines on the rib. We were very lucky to see several pods of dolphins which were happy to come right up to the boat, and we saw seals a plenty in the water and basking on the rocks of Godrevy lighthouse. 5* would highly recommend and we will definitely be back for another trip!!! Thank you 😊. SteveVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. So recently we have been on a crazy run of Giant Tuna and not really intentionally but you can only fish to what’s in front of you.
With these big fish the fight time is sometimes extremely long or longer than would hope for and it’s my opinion that providing the fish are given plenty of time to recover before releasing then the fish is perfectly fine and goes off really strong so no harm done.
Here is a video of one of the big ones from this week that we recovered from a long fight and as you will see how strong it is and how it’s swimming ahead of the boat upright full of life.
We take great care with all our fish and as always, the longer the fight the longer the recovery.
You will also get a better idea of the size as sometimes the camera just doesn’t do them justice.
Neal shouting the gunnels are flexing 😂 quality as always.
We had another Giant today which is possibly our biggest ever yet so will put a post up soon. ... See MoreSee Less
🔥🔥🔥BIG BONITO 🔥🔥🔥
Are we witnessing a start of a new fishery in its early stages.
With warming sea temperatures and scientists predicting that we could see new species arriving this will certainly be a good one as there great sport on light jigging gear.
Wow this a first for us and hope it continues. ... See MoreSee Less

We have finally arrived safely in Falmouth today ready for our second half of the Tuna season.
Today mother nature was in full swing and our plan to get around into falmouth bay early this morning didn’t quite go to plan.
We departed Newlyn at 6:30am and the minute we left the harbour you could just sense that the sea had some serious movement and power which is not something we normally get to much of in the bay.
After steaming for 45 minutes and getting closer the Lizard it started to feel like this was not going well and the sea was just getting bigger and bigger and when i say big i mean big and probably some of the biggest swells i have been in and i have been in a few.
A old skipper once told me what makes a good skipper and he said,a good skipper knows when to turn around, this has always stayed with me and with that in mind we turned around before getting to the point where turning around wouldn’t have been a option.
Feeling small on Bluefin is not something i am use to but today was an experience and mother nature is not to be messed with that’s for sure.
We ended up waiting a few hours until low water slack and passed the lizard a little easier but not with out still tackling some serious sea conditions.
Maybe the recent events at sea just give us all a little reminder how dangerous it is out there and we should never take the sea for granted.
As ever it was great working out of Newlyn and the commercial tuna guys that work out of there are great and professional guys who it’s been a pleasure working along side.
The staff at the harbour equally as professional and always helping out when needed and so welcoming 🙌
Looking forward now to phase 2 and joining the falmouth fleet.👌🐟🐟🐟 ... See MoreSee Less
