St Ives Rugby Club offers a park and ride service into St Ives.

Or for the best way to arrive in St Ives you can use the train from the St Erth Station Park & Ride.

NB. Please allow plenty of time to get to St Ives and Park particularly during the summer months when it can be very busy.

Fridays post was all about the first Mounts Bay inshore Monster Tuna at a whopping 100 inches plus and puts the fish anywhere between 600lb -700lb or more depending on what conversion chart you choose to read.
With experience in learning weights from commercial landings i estimated the fish to be 650lb so also a split down the middle regarding conversion charts so a fair estimate to chris the angler.

So the days post was stolen by the big one but we did go on to have an explosive day 🔥🔥🔥 with the second fish being over 90 inches and another real solid fat fish.

We went on to have double hook ups dropped fish and more tuna through the day with all the lads getting in on the action and landing themselves there first bluefin tunas.

What a great group of lads and we even managed to open the eyes of a very experienced Aussie angler who could not believe his eyes with what the UK has to offer.

We really are blessed to have the opportunity of this fishery and need to keep a firm focus on protecting it and keep the high standards of fish welfare that took years of work to establish and lead to what we have today.

Cheers boys see you next year 👌

🔥🔥🔥Our first true giant of the season
Absolutely a beast of a fish at over the holy grail of 100 inches and you don’t get many in the whole season.

Congratulations goes to angler Chris Bright and a big shout out to chippy on bite adventures for giving us the heads up on some birds working close inshore.

Wow what a special morning 👌

More tuna action today and this season is really hotting up to be one of our best as the fish keep coming and by a variety of techniques which adds a little mix up to our fishing.

These fish are definitely stronger this season and we had a fish that looked liked it had been previously tagged but has come off.

Well done lads a great day all around topped off by catching a tuna on a sardine 🤦‍♂️🤣
